My Journal: Well last few days went pretty good. My swelling is much better and does not hurt any more. But the pain in my knee on top and underneath and my calf are killing me. The hip pain is hardly nothing at all any more. Except for that getting out of bed first thing in the morning. And I still can not lay on my good side for over 20 minutes. Last night I iced the lower part of my back that seemed to help. The walker has been folded up and put away since Sunday. I am getting around Farley well with the cane. last Tuesday I went to the doctor for the knee and calf pain. We did the ultra sound/Doppler and they took exrays of my knee. NO BLOOD clots so that is VERY good news and the kneee showed nothing, Well just the very beginning of cartilage waste. Great, I dont think I could stand another surgery like this ever. I was told that it was radiating referral pain. My god you would think that the knee should know that it wasnt injured. But I guess a common thing, And of course this isnt something they tell you when you are planning the surgery. All you hear is that you will be so happy you did it and the pain is nothing like what you have been going through. FFFing LIERS. Like I said they need to go through it. But yes, Now that I am on my 17th day the pain is almost gone and I dont and never had "yet" knock on wood that old hip pain.
11:30pm I am going to go crazy, another what 2 weeks at least before i can drive??? not if I have any thing to do with it. I think I will up my leg lift exercise, For me any way if I can lift that leg good enough to press the gas peddle and stop peddle, then I am good to go good to drive. I have to I want to be driving now!!!! Counting on others to get you out and about. I'm going to sleep now
